Approved as Apprentice

Congratulations to Splatsin Band Member Clint Felix who was recently accepted into the Skilled Trades BC Apprenticeship Program!

An apprenticeship is a four-year program, which requires time spent on the job (6,360 workplace hours) supplemented by in-school training (840 hours).

SDC is pleased to sponsor Clint throughout his 4-year apprenticeship until he becomes a Red Seal Carpenter.

Pictured here, SDC Project Manager and Red Seal Carpenter Mike Christian honours Clint by presenting him with a new tool belt to help him start his carpentry career.

Clint and Mike, along with Steve Antoine, have been working diligently on the St. Mary’s Church Renovation, which is progressing nicely and is on time & budget.
