Junior Archaeologist
The Junior Archaeologist will work closely with and report directly to the Senior Archaeologist, providing essential support in both field and office tasks.
This role includes assisting with fieldwork, documenting archaeological sites, and contributing to lab and office activities.
This is a hands-on opportunity to gain experience and develop skills in archaeological practices within a collaborative and dynamic environment. A valid Class 5 driver’s license is required.
Senior Archaeologist
Reporting into the Heritage Department Director, the Senior Archaeologist will lead and oversee fieldwork and office-based activities related to archaeological projects within Splatsin territory.
As the primary field supervisor, the Senior Archaeologist will coordinate field teams, manage resources, and ensure the successful execution of projects. This is a key position within the department, with the successful candidate playing a pivotal role in the stewardship and preservation of cultural heritage within the region.
Wildlife Biologist
Reporting to the Environment Manager, the Wildlife Biologist will assist with the management and delivery of various field projects and conservation initiatives.
The focus of projects will be on the study and management of the impact of environmental changes on animal behavior and habitat. Coordination of resources and logistics, personnel, and project management will be key functions.
This position will be a combination of office and field-based activities and is a career track position, with the successful candidate forming an integral part the management team.
Machine Operator
Yucwmenlúcwu is currently seeking a Machine Operator to assist its Forestry and Construction teams.
Your advanced operation skills allow you to efficiently keep construction and forestry projects on schedule and productive, while championing safety on site.
You will set up, operate, and maintain machinery, and ensure the machine produces, runs smoothly and at capacity, and is properly maintained. You are a team player who doesn’t mind working independently or as part of a team supporting other machine operators and subcontractors.
Red Seal Carpenter
Yucwmenlúcwu’s Residential Construction team is growing and we are looking to add an experienced Red Seal Carpenter to our team.
We are seeking an individual who is experienced, well-rounded, looking to grow, possesses a safety mindset, and is willing to teach and learn from others.
The Red Seal Carpenter will report to our Senior Project Manager, Residential Construction and work to organize our general labour support on various sites. We believe in open communication, a good attitude and team mentality.
General Labourer
Reporting to the General Contractor Site Supervisor and Yucwmenlúcwu’s Senior Project Manager, the General Labourer will play a vital role in supporting the construction team on the Bruhn Bridge project, based in Sicamous, BC.
This position requires a strong work ethic, a willingness to work in various weather conditions, and the ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
This position requires shift work: you will work three to four 10-hour work days per week on a rotating shift schedule. Some overtime may be required.
Traffic Controller
Reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager and working alongside our Yucwmenlúcwu team members, the Traffic Controller will be located on various construction sites throughout the BC Interior.
You will direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic to ensure public safety at all times and will be responsible for traffic flow control methods, stopping, slowing, and re-directing traffic.
This position requires familiarity with traffic control equipment and procedures, knowledge of safety regulations, and a clean driving abstract and a valid BC Drivers License
